Night It Up! Because there’s nothing like a little night market to let you shop the night away.

Now in its 11th year, Night It Up brings the Asian tradition of the night market to Markham this weekend. Food vendors, trinket merchants, jewelry booths, schmata sellers, “stinky tofu” makers (a treat, it’s actually – though unofficially – Taiwan’s favourite snack) and more will be setting up their wares in booths at the Markham Civic Centre (101 Town Centre Blvd. in Markham) on July 13 to 15. While the sun sets the deals will still be hawked and haggled out as the shopping event runs clear through to midnight. MIDNIGHT! No need to tuck your credit cards in bed when the malls close at 9pm or take to a 24-hour grocery store for your fix, Night It Up! will allow you to make a real evening of it!

There were over 100,000 visitors over the three days shopping the night away last year, and this year’s definitely going to break some records. Friday July 13: 7 pm to midnight, Saturday July 14: noon to midnight, Sunday July 15 noon to 8pm. Entertainment will rage on the stage while the market is open. How can you beat shopping AND musical entertainment? Make it all support a great cause.
